A recent photo shoot with sister Hilda of mine from the same church in GCC. Portraiture theme where we aim to go for more vintage styles on fashion and editing results. But there is some other editing feeling where I aim according to my likings using some presets. Check out her blog.
Last month has been doing some shoots assisting Studio 10 in upcoming new church magazine. Went through two interviews with Pfizer and Canon Marketing. Pastor Peter Tan’s ministry. Bridal fair at Promenade Hotel and Beverly Hotel. Visited my buddy George Yong from Jofanna Bridal having a fair in the hotel. Hmm, getting ready for my Philippine trip later this month. Having a photographers time out with Anna & George and other local gangs I can’t wait to meet for a meal and movie this week. Submit application video for Amazing Race Asia 2010. Fingers crossed.
Have a Good Friday and remember our dear Jesus and Easter celebration this Sunday. Do not forget to go church!

This is a photo shoot I just did in Promenade Hotel Bridal Fair in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. A very good bridal fair for all the couples there who want to get married this year. This kind of fair is a boost to different industries such as the hotel banquet, food catering, beautician, make up artist, gown rental and of course not forgetting the wedding photographer. Thanks to my friend Joon Hin for inviting me to capture these pretty ladies in various wedding gowns prepared by Romance Bridal House in City Mall. Do check out the Promenade Hotel packages as well for their lovely package held in their new renovated banquet hall for good booking prices.
Such event gives us wedding photographers a hope to push better for our clients to capture moment that years later will turn into history remembrance for them. Why hire someone who own a camera and not committed to deliver that pictures which willing to charge below the market price? I charge a basic starting price of RM1,500 for actual wedding coverage. RM1,000 for E-Session (Engagement) portrait with your love one. I also have a basic outdoor photo shoot which cost RM480 for family portraiture or dating couple. This promotion is for bookings till 20th June 2010 or until further change I will notify through my website or through my fan page http://www.gilbertwong.com/fanpage.
Contact me at +60 168486263 or kagewong@gmail.com for the package details. Local and destinations weddings inquiries are most welcome.

Having the same birthday as your babe can be beneficial. No need to plan birthday dinners twice for both persons. Here are some of the things we did before I brought her to the surprise zone where all my cg gangs gathered.
The nice cobbler guy you see below has been in my want list to capture his smile and how he work in the shop.

There you are, our birthday picture together in front of the cobbler shop.

After months of waiting, this is it. Flying to Kuala Lumpur just for one day seminar to meet and to be inspire by Joe himself and the team. To meet fellow photographers from different places and old buddies from Kota Kinabalu. Not only the seminar was informative it was also entertaining to listen to him talking. “Shoot what you love and be completely, totally tenacious!”-Joe McNally.
Here are some pictures from the trip.

Life will never be complete without friends around you. Thanks for being my friend and do keep in touch. Cheers.

How do I know them? Hmm, not from their high school but during our university time. I knew VC from our course in Business Policy (correct me if I’m wrong). Haha. Then we also joined the Magic Club together. It seems like yesterday. From him, I met his lover NS. After our Univ life we been separated bout 3years and I do bump into NS once a while in KK while bump to VC in the airport once.
So many initials mentioned in my blog. But for those who know them, do drop a comment in this blog. Cheers.

Wow, the train station is being upgraded and I’m so glad the nice security guard allowing sweet moments to be capture. In this series, Jessica & Danny will be our lovely models. Without Angela as my muse I wouldn’t be able to create these shots. Weather was on our side too when the drizzling stop.
I couldn’t show much for now and there will be more added soon.

More to come, wink wink.

Congrats to my ex Curtin uni-mates. It was an honor and on 29th is another biggie day coming for you two. Lets make it great and awesome! Can’t wait to see other ex-Curtin who will be there. More pics will be available.

This is one risky shot at the side of the main road. I was so occupied that I continue shooting like those cars are my natural flashlights forgetting that they could hit me. The result worth it!

Starting new year with a good resolutions and goals to achieve is what everyone should plan. For me, I have shot my first wedding of the year on the 3rd of Jan in Shangri-la’s Tanjung Aru Resort Kota Kinabalu.
It was an awesome wedding for blushing bride and handsome groom. The words was taken from a scrapbook signage done by Vanessa. It looks beautiful but too bad it was lost when the wedding reception was over. Shooting a Nyonya bride is a first time exp for me and the groom is local Sabahan. Groom was my senior in my high school and it was a pleasure to capture shots for him and his beloved wife.
I even did my first hip hop dance performance for my church anniversary this year on the new stage. So there you are, many first will be happening in this new year and I don’t wish it to stop. Expect more from this blog.
Thanks to Angela my dearest babe for assisting me in this wedding assignment.

If you like the pictures display here, do drop me a shout out on the comment box. Thanks
Congrats to Vanessa & Kwan Vui.
